Kyle and Allie both grew up in Utah and found their passion for dance at a young age. They won several US titles as preteens, juniors and youth in International Ballroom, American Rhythm and Smooth. They first met while dancing together on a junior formation team, although their journey as partners didn’t begin until college. Kyle and Allie attended Brigham Young University and were members of the world renowned BYU Ballroom Dance Company placing 1st at the British Formation Championship in Blackpool, England. Being part of the Ballroom Company brought many opportunities to travel internationally and perform their talents for thousands of people across the globe.  Kyle graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Facilities and Property Management and Allie obtained a degree in Dance Education.  Kyle and Allie are both licentiate members of the Imperial Society of Dance. They were married in December of 2010 and love being able to share their passion of dance together. The couple currently resides in South Orange County and teaches at Sway Ballroom Dance.

Kyle

Kyle’s journey in ballroom dance began when he enrolled in a preteen ballroom program in Utah.  He won several US titles as a preteen, junior and youth in International Ballroom, American Rhythm and Smooth.  Kyle speaks fluent Russian having spent 2 years in Russia serving as an LDS missionary.  Kyle attended Brigham Young University where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Facilities and Property Management with minors in both Business and Ballroom Dance. While students at BYU, Kyle and Allie taught classes at the University for 3 years in Social and Country Dance and International Ballroom. He is passionate about improving his own dancing as well as helping others learn and reach their dance potential.

Allie

Allie fell in love with dance at a young age as she began her early training in ballet, tap and jazz.  At age 10, her study and her love for ballroom dance began to grow.  Allie graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Dance Education with minors in Health Education and Ballroom Dance.   Allie and her husband are former members of the world renowned BYU Ballroom Dance Company placing 1st at the British Formation Championships in Blackpool, England.  Allie has a love for people with special needs so while at BYU, she developed a ballroom program for this special population which continues today. Allie’s skill as well as her genuine love of people and dance makes her a wonderful teacher.
